widenews desk: A 3-member committee formed to started working on 24 March by the Bangladesh Bank to investigate the fire incident on its 13th floor.
“The committee, headed by Executive Director of the central bank Ahmed Zaman, has already started investigation”, Abul Kalam Azad, deputy spokesman and general manager of communication department of the central bank.
He also informed that the committee will visit spot as part of its primary job.
The fire at the central bank in Dhaka’s Motijheel was brought under control within an hour by the Fire Service and Civil Defence forces. However, no casualties were reported in the fire on the 13th floor that housed the Foreign Exchange Policy Department of the central bank.
The fire originated on the 13th floor of the 32-storey building around 9:28pm on Thursday, said sources at the Fire Service Central Control Room.
